Turmeric is a well known Asian spice that is commonly used for cooking food. Although its main application is for culinary purposes, it also has a second role as a natural medicine. It is well known to alleviate all kinds of inflammation on our body when applied outwardly in form of a paste, but also it is great for cleansing our body from the inside when consumed, especially targeting our liver and kidneys. You will be positively surprised what consuming 1 tablespoon of turmeric a day can do to your body. After only a few weeks of taking it, you can expect less joint pain, less mucous build-up in your respiratory canals and improved digestion and bowel movement, which is exactly what we are looking for when dealing with our nagging hemorrhoids.
There are all kinds of benefits from taking turmeric regularly such as:
- Treating consistent headaches
- Dealing with colds and reducing several symptoms of viral infections
- Helps recovering after surgeries
- Reduces pain caused by arthritis
- Builds Up Our Immune System
- Reduces blood sugar level, great for people with Diabetes
- Improves digestion and helps with bowel movement ( Great For Hemorrhoids )
As you probably already know, hemorrhoids are swollen veins around your rectal region and appear either internally or externally, causing you a lot of discomfort, pain, and itchiness. Because Turmeric helps with inflammation and digestion, it is a great natural supplement to use while dealing with your nagging hemorrhoid. By improving your bowel movement, it can reduce the time you spent sat down on a toilet by making your stool softer and easier to defecate. Also by doing so, it will greatly reduce the chance of your hemorrhoids getting irritated during the process that can cause them to bleed.
Secondly, as we said, because piles are swollen veins around your anus, the anti-inflammatory benefits of turmeric can significantly reduce the swelling making it a great natural treatment for hemorrhoids, especially while used alongside other methods like sitz baths, over the counter creams and well-balanced diet.
How To Use Turmeric For Hemorrhoids:
Warning: It is your own responsibility to ensure that you are not allergic to any substance or ingredient listed on our website, as we do not know your health history. If you have any concerns or worries, it is advised that you do get in touch with your doctor before trying the methods below.
There are 2 main ways that you can use Turmeric as a supplement to give you a better chance at healing your piles quicker. We advise that you try both of them and see how it works for you.
1.) Consume It
There is a great hassle free way to take turmeric that doesn’t take longer than 5 minutes to prepare that you can do each and every morning. It is very simple and you will only need few ingredients:
– Turmeric Powder
– Half of a Lime
– Grounded Cinnamon
– Grounded Black Pepper
Add 1 tablespoon of turmeric into a regular cup, follow it by half a tablespoon of grounded cinnamon with a little pinch of black pepper. Black pepper helps activate the ingredient in turmeric called curcumin, making it more effective and easier to digest. After that squeeze in half of a lime into the cup on top of it all. As a final step, fill in the cup with mineral water and stir until the mixture gets dissolved and gets ready to drink! I have made a quick video that you can watch below:
2.) Use It In Form Of a Paste
When it comes to making a paste for external hemorrhoids, you can mix turmeric powder with a little bit of mustard oil and water. Then gently apply it on hemorrhoid and let it get absorbed by your skin naturally. The antiseptic and healing properties of turmeric can significantly reduce the swelling of your piles and help your body heal any wounds that can bleed and cause irritation.
